My goal behind writing these stories is to create immersive stories that connect parents and caregivers with their children before bedtime – whether it’s the adult reading the story to the child or the child practicing their reading by reading to the adult. I have created worlds,

creatures and characters that allow young children to open up their minds and go on a fun - filled adventure. I introduce several villains and darker characters to not only engage the reader but add suspense and drama. The hero is placed in testing situations, allowing for the underlying themes of courage, persistence, friendship and hope to shine through.

Jack Gibson is a young hero that is confronted with a choice. Step through the marbled disc that has appeared out of nowhere on his property to whatever lies beyond or continue with life as it is.

By delving into the unknown Jack is thrust into worlds of wonder where he is confronted with mythical creatures. He must fight for his life against ogres and dragons as well as evil game show hosts and tyrants.

He is tested at every turn and must use his tenacity, will and intellect as well as a few friends that he meets along the way to continue through his adventures.

The Adventures of Jack Gibson is a roller coaster ride of short stories that will captivate you and keep you enthralled from start to finish.

I believe the book is similar to Finn and The Intergalactic Lunchbox written by Michael Buckley and is targeted to a similar audience of 6-14 year olds.
